About our Faculty and Staff
Metro State faculty members teach here because they want to teach. By comparison, at other colleges, faculty members may spend time on their own pet projects and let teaching assistants teach. When you have more than 200 students in a class, that might make sense. But, here at Metro State, our professors have plenty of time for everyone because the average class size is 22.
We believe that a relevant education comes from both theoretical and practical learning. That's why we employ both lifelong professors (85% hold Ph.D. or terminal degrees from top universities) and leading professionals from a variety of career fields (current, real-world experience rocks). Together, they'll give you the why and the how behind everything you learn.
Metro State staff members—from the administrative assistant in the music department to the provost and the college president—are here for one reason: to help students. And it shows.
