Metro Hosts Two Chinese Delegations
June and November, 2006
Metropolitan State College of Denver (Metro State) hosted two, day-long events with higher education delegates from China on June 13, and November 6, 2006. The delegations were involved in fact-finding tours spanning the United States. Metro State was selected as one of four higher education institutions targeted for the visitations.
The U.S. Department of Education, collaborating with China's Ministry of Education, made this opportunity possible. The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, a New York non-profit, organized the itinerary. The delegations included education officials and senior university administrators from western China. Of the four higher education institutions involved in the June delegations, Metro State was the only one selected for an additional site visit by Chinese colleagues in November.
